Data unveiled on renewable energy sources for Jan-Jun 2022

July 14, Fineko/abc.az. The renewable energy sources of Azerbaijan (solar and wind power plants, Solid Waste Incineration Plant, and hydroelectric power plants) generated 1.16 bn kWh with a rise of 205.3 million kWh, or 21.4%.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Energy Ministry that hydroelectric power plants increased generation of electricity by 199.3 million kWh up to 970.6 million kWh, and other sources by 6 million kWh up to 192.1 million kWh. Wind power plants generated 46.8 million kWh of electricity, solar power plants – 30.7 million kWh, and the Solid Waste Incineration Plant – 114.6 million kWh of electricity.

Electricity production for the first half of 2022 reached 12.15 bn kWh by Azerenergy OJSC (11.25 bn kWh at thermal power plants, 899.6 million kWh at hydroelectric power plants), 210.9 million kWh by the State Energy Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (120.4 million kWh at thermal power plants, 62.2 million kWh at the hydroelectric power plants, 28.3 million kWh at solar power plants), Azerishig’s wind power plants 32.7 million kWh, independent power plants 1.124 bn kWh.
