Turkey to start extracting natural gas from Black Sea from 2023

June 14, Fineko/abc.az. Completion of pipe laying pipes through the seabed for the transportation of natural gas from Turkey’s Sakarya field, located in the Black Sea, is scheduled for the end of 2022, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Turkish Minister of Energy & Natural Resources Fatih Donmez.

He noted that the first production of natural gas from the field, discovered in 2020, will begin in 2023.

He added that daily gas extraction is expected to reach 10 million cu m in 2023, but in 2026 its production will increase to the maximum.
