President attends inauguration of a new power substation

June 10, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has attended the inauguration of a new 110/35/10 kV power substation and Digital Network General Management Center owned by Azerishig OJSC.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerishig chairman Vugar Ahmadov informed the head of state of the conditions created at the new substation and the Management Center.

The new substation built in Yasamal district of Baku, near Fizuli Square, was constructed to meet Baku rapidly growing needs for electricity, ensuring reliability and sustainability.

The substation is also designed to distribute and transmit loads arising in the future between 220 KV substations ‘Mushvig’ and ‘Khirdalan’ in order to ensure the reliability and stability of the city's electricity supply. Coordination of substations, which are an integral part of the new 110 KV circular circuit, will be carried out through Yasamal-1, Teze Bazar, Zafar and the existing Daglig substations under construction. Modern gas-fired equipment, electronic relay protection and automation devices are installed at the substation.
