June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Sanctions against Russian billionaires continue.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press that yacht ‘Amadea’ of Russian billionaire and Senator Suleiman Kerimov will be confiscated.

Thus, the Supreme Court of Fiji granted the US’ claim on this issue.

The $300 million yacht was confiscated in May by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Lautoka, Florida, at the request of the U.S. Department of Justice and with the support of the U.S.

Suleiman Kerimov was included in the U.S. sanctions in 2014 and 2018 for Russia's operations in Syria and Ukraine. Along with this, sanctions were applied to Kerimov by the EU.
