June 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Southern Gas Corridor allows us to increase production from the huge Shah Deniz gas condensate field. And for a year and five months Azerbaijan has been using this completely new modular infrastructure.
ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by President Ilham Aliyev at the official opening ceremony of the 27th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, held within the framework of the Baku Energy Week.
The head of state noted that Azerbaijan has expanded its presence on the European continent with its national resources.
"Azerbaijan has managed to increase production and exports, last year Azerbaijan exported 22 bn cu m of natural gas: "Our forecast for this year is 24 bn cu m, and next year it will be even more. The figures may be different depending on the activity of production," Aliyev said.
