G7 states to reduce gradually their dependence on Russian energy carriers

May 10, Fineko/abc.az. The G7 countries have promised to reduce gradually their dependence on Russian energy carriers.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that a statement on this matter was made on 8 May after talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The U.S. government noted that measures will be taken in accordance with the requirements of the law and the procedures of each partner.

"At that, we’ll work together with our partners to ensure stable and sustainable global energy supply and affordable prices for consumers, including by reducing our overall dependence on natural gas and accelerating our transition to clean energy in accordance with our climate," the government says.
