Daily capacity of Shah Deniz announced

May 5, Fineko/abc.az. The costs of the Shah Deniz consortium in the first quarter of 2022 as part of the development of this field amounted to $847 million (decline of 2.5%). At that, the operating costs of the project exceeded $759 bn and capital expenditures amounted to $88 million, ABC.AZ informs with reference to bp's quarterly report.

The bulk of the costs accounted for works within Shah Deniz 2.

BP-Azerbaijan produced 6 bn cu m of gas from Shah Deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea in the 1st quarter of 2022 (17.6% more against Jan-Mar 2021.

Approx. 9 million barrels of condensate (1 million tons) were also extracted from Shah Deniz field (15.4% more versus Q1 of 2021).

"Currently, the field's production capacity is approx. 72 million cu m a day or over 26 bn cu m a year," the company says.
