March 31, Fineko/abc.az. Stimulating the export of tobacco products in Azerbaijan can provide an additional inflow of foreign currency for more than $50 million a year.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Tabaterra that the annual export potential of Tabaterra is 5 billion cigarettes.

"In order to fully realize this potential, as well as the export potential of other tobacco manufacturers operating in Azerbaijan, the export of tobacco products can be stimulated. Stimulating exports in this area will strengthen the competitiveness of local enterprises around the world. It can also ensure the creation of new jobs at these enterprises, an increase in the share of local raw materials in the total value chain and, most importantly, the annual inflow of foreign currency into our country in the form of more than $50 million. And this, in turn, means an increase in exports to the non-oil sector by 2%,” the company noted.
