March 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Bank of England has raised the base interest rate to 0.75% from 0.5%.
ABC.AZ reports that the limit of funds for the purchase of assets has been reduced to 867 billion pounds.
"At its meeting, which ended on 16 March 2022, the committee voted by a majority of votes (8 to 1) to raise the bank rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 0.75%," a statement on the regulator's website says.
At that, one member of the committee advocated keeping the rate at 0.5%.
