March 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's balance of payments surplus amounted to $3.08 bn in 2021 (deficit of $1.987 bn in 2020).
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan informs that the total surplus was formed due to current account surplus of $8.29 bn (deficit a year earlier), capital account surplus of $4.2 million (-43.25%), financial account deficit of $5.05 bn (a rise of 2.1-fold), balancing item deficit of $153.6 million (surplus a year earlier).
