Central Bank of Russia halts purchase of gold from banks

March 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Bank of Russia has been suspending the purchase of gold from credit institutions since 15 March in order to create conditions to meet the demand of the population, the website of the Central Bank of Russia says.

Earlier, Russia abolished VAT on gold bullions purchased for the purpose of investments instead of currency.
