March 14, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of 2022 the population of Azerbaijan has grown by 4,282 people or 0.4%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, as of 1 February 2022 the country’s population amounted to 10,160,648 people.

Urban residents make up 52.9% of the population and rural residents - 47.1%. Men make up 50% and 50% are women.

The population per sq km in the country is 117 people.
