March 14, Fineko/abc.az. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Iran on 11 March.
ABC.AZ reports that the project documentation will be prepared by the company within a month and approved in accordance with the requirements of the legislation. One of the bridges will be built by Azerbaijan and another one by Iran.
All expenses related to the preparation of project documentation, construction and supervision of the construction of a road bridge connecting the Eastern Zangezur economic region with Iran, as well as communication and energy lines will be paid by the Azerbaijani side.
The Iranian side bears all costs for the preparation of project documentation, the construction of a road bridge connecting Nakhchivan with Ordubad district, and construction supervision. Until the completion of the construction of automobile bridges, the parties provide the necessary construction, expansion and reconstruction works of highways on the territory of their state, as well as carry out the construction of access roads to the automobile bridge. This Memo was concluded for an indefinite period.
