F1 competitions not to be organized in Russia

March 3, Fineko/abc.az. The management of Formula 1 has terminated the contract for the Russian Grand Prix.

ABC.AZ reports that the F1 management announced the termination of the contract with the Russian Grand Prix, referring to the Ukrainian-Russian war.

"As the F1 management, we declare that the contract for the organization of the Russian Grand Prix has been terminated, and this decision means that Russia will not be able to organize races in the future," the official message says.

The competitions were planned to be held in St. Petersburg from 2023.

The race scheduled for this September in Sochi was also canceled.
