Labor Minister: $3.5 bn allocated for social reforms in 4 years

February 23, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 4 years three major social reform packages have been implemented in Azerbaijan, covering more than 40% of the country's population. At that, additional annual funds allocated for these packages amounted to a total of AZN 6 bn or $3.5 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that Minister of Labor & Social Protection of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayev said this at international conference "Social Reforms in the CIS: Trends, potentials & Solutions" held in Baku.

The minister noted that during that period the minimum wage grew by an average of 2.3-fold, the minimum pension - by 2.2 times. He noted that in comparison with 2018, the average monthly pension increased by an average of 65%, the average monthly salary by 35%.
