Forecast: Fed to raise interest rates by 0.25 points at each meeting

February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Economists at JPMorgan Chase & Co say that the U.S. Central Bank (Fed) will raise interest rates at nine consecutive meetings to avoid inflation.

ABC.AZ reports that economists believe the Fed will raise interest rates by 0.25 points at each meeting. Currently, the Fed's interest rate is in the range of 0-0.125%.

The inflation rate in the U.S. in January was the highest since 1982.

Earlier, Goldman Sachs raised its forecast up to 7, saying that it expects a 5-fold increase in interest rates by 2022.
