Azerbaijani citizens bought 6 real estate objects in Armenia

February 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani citizens have purchased six real estate objects in Armenia.

ABC.AZ reports that the Cadastre Committee informed about this in response to a request from Sputnik Armenia.

The above-said acts of purchase and sale were carried out in 2010-21.

Thus, during the specified period, 71 Turkish citizens and 6 Azerbaijani citizens registered real estate rights in Armenia.

According to the Committee, Azerbaijani citizens bought 2 apartments in Armenia in 2012, and 1 apartment in 2018 and 2019. Another apartment was provided in 2012 as a share to an Azerbaijani citizen. In addition, a citizen of another country has acquired a socially significant object.

It is noted that speech here is about persons who are citizens of Azerbaijan, and not about their ethnicity. It is emphasized that it is impossible to say with certainty whether the persons acquiring real estate in Armenia are Azerbaijanis by nationality.
