February 14, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva made a trip to Aghdam district on 13 February.

ABC.AZ reports that the head of state and the first lady took part in the opening of new substations "Agdam-1" and "Agdam-2", as well as the digital control center of regional electric network "Karabakh".

Azerenergy’s president Baba Rzayev informed Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva about the work done.

It was noted that in order to connect occupation-liberated district Agdam from the general energy system of Azerbaijan, to provide it with stable and uninterrupted electricity, Azerenergy laid a two-level 110 KV transmission line at distance of 35 km from Khindyristan substation. We can say that the line completely runs through the mined area. In some places, a path several meters wide was opened between the mines, and this difficult task was completed. And the most important thing is that from Agjabedi to Khindyristan, and from there to substations “Agdam-1” and “Agdam-2” a 63 km fiber-optic cable along a 110 KV line was laid for lightning protection and information exchange between substations. Thus, not only a power line was laid to Agdam, but also high-speed Internet with the highest bandwidth.
