February 11, Fineko/abc.az. The economic and financial crisis in the world is not over yet. Despite this, the commissioning of huge facilities built in Azerbaijan at our own expense testifies to both our financial and technical capabilities and our financial independence.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the relevant statement after the opening ceremony of the Gobu energy junction.

"Last year, Azerbaijan generated 27 bn kWh of electricity and exported 1.6 bn  kWh. This is a record figure. That is, we’ve already become a very serious exporter of electricity. As I’ve already noted, both domestic demand and demand for our energy power abroad will push us to new steps,” the Azerbaijani leader underlined.
