February 10, Fineko/abc.az. In 2021, operating expenses on Shah Deniz exceeded $2 bn and capital expenditures amounted to approximately $680 million.
ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in bp's report on company's activities in Azerbaijan for 2021.
Most of the expenses related to project Shah Deniz-2. In total, about 23 bn standard cu m of gas were extracted from the field in 2021 - from the Shah Deniz Alfa and Shah Deniz Bravo platforms (increase of 27.1% in annual comparison). Approximately 4 million tons (34 million barrels) of condensate were extracted from the field (11.1% more in annual comparison).
The production capacity of the existing Shah Deniz installations currently amounts to about 72 million (more than 26 bn a year) standard cu m a day. The east-south flank, which began production in the 2nd quarter of 2021 as part of Shah Deniz 2, reached full production within a year.
As a result of the increase in the production level on the flanks in July 2021, the daily production from the Shah Deniz Bravo platform reached the same level as Shah Deniz Alpha for the first time.
