Turkey's tourism earnings more than doubled

January 31, Fineko/abc.az. In 2021, Turkey's tourism revenues increased by 2.3 times (compared with 2020) up to $24.48 bn, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK).

The report says that last year, $19.679 bn of tourism income included personal expenses and $4.8 bn - expenses for travel packages.

During the year, the cost of an overnight stay for local residents averaged $66, and for foreign citizens - $73.

Last year, 30.039 million tourists visited Turkey (80.1% more than a year earlier).
