January 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has permitted non-bank credit organizations to open current accounts to their credit customers, and these credit organizations can connect to payment systems.
Central Bank’s director general Farid Usmanov stated that a package of proposals has been prepared. It consists of new bills and amendments to a number of existing laws:
"The bill "payment systems & services" has been prepared and submitted to the government. Along with this bill, the draft amendments to a number of relevant laws were prepared and submitted to the government. The offer to non-bank credit institutions to provide settlement account services is also included in the package of changes."
