November 5, Fineko/abc.az. The privatization of small hydroelectric power plants of Azerbaijan will be carried out in stages.

ABC.AZ reports that Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said this at the 7th Global Baku Forum. 

He noted that the government should carry out reforms in this area, deeply studying international experience. 
"The Ministry is conducting appropriate work in this direction. In accordance with the presidential order, the necessary work is being carried out step by step. A few months ago, new laws were adopted in Azerbaijan, concerning renewable energy sources, as well as energy efficiency. To apply these laws in the country, a number of by-laws should be developed and adopted," Shakhbazov emphasized.
