October 7, Fineko/abc.az. The first oil production at the Karabakh field will begin in 2025, ABC.AZ reports with reference to SOCAR's annual report.

Drilling of appraisal well #KPS-4 was completed at the Karabakh field in March 2020, and the results are currently being analyzed.

It is planned to drill 12 wells with depth of 180 m at the Karabakh field and build 20 deep-water jackets.

Currently, engineering work on the project is ongoing.

"Initial oil production from the field is planned in 2025 according to the updated schedule," the report says.
