August 6, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has attended the inauguration of the newly renovated 110/35/6 kV Surakhani substation.

ABC.AZ reports that the Surakhani substation, built in 1932, has exceeded its service life few-fold and, of course, could not meet the growing demand. That is why the capital reconstruction was carried out at the substation.

The head of state put the substation into operation.

Modern equipment has been installed at the Surakhani substation, as well as at other similar facilities. The substation will supply electricity to the Surakhani district, part of the Sabunchi and Khazar districts, as well as a number of other facilities of socio-strategic and social infrastructure.

On the basis of a special project, the voltage of the Surakhani substation was changed from 110/20/6 to 110/35/6 KV, a reduction in losses was achieved.

In addition, the total power of the substation's transformers has been increased up to 126 megavolt-amperes.
