April 6, Fineko/abc.az. After the Baku Metro resumes its operating, its passengers will get acquainted with the new method of paying the fare.

ABC.AZ reports that, Elchin Mammadov, the head of the Baku Metro Marking & Communication Service, said this when delivering speech at the Baku Transit Forum 2021 Smart City.

He stressed that the innovation concerns the method of fare paying:

"Passengers will be able to pay for their travel using a QR code. Tests were conducted to connect a new system that allows you to make these and other types of payments, and positive results were obtained."
