Central Bank sold $62.2 million to banks at currency auction

September 29, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted today a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA reports that in the auction it sold $62.2 million to the banks.

"The demand from banks at the currency auction amounted to $62.2 million and was fully met," the CBA said.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar was AZN 1.70.
