December 18, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from 2020 the right to be a simplified taxpayer will be abolished for taxpayers engaged in construction, and they will fulfill their tax obligations as payers of VAT and income tax.

ABC.AZ was informed about that by the press service of the Ministry of Taxes.

According to the Ministry, the taxpayer, who had previously started construction and installation works and applying the simplified method of taxation, will pay taxes on construction and installation works in the previous order.

"However, the law provides for such a provision that taxpayers who started construction and installation works from 1 December 2019 have the opportunity to choose the method of taxation for construction and installation works until 1 January 2020. That is, taxpayers who started construction at the end of the year can apply a simplified tax method, but on condition that before 1 January they will submit to the tax authority a special form of information about the chosen method of taxation for construction and installation works," the Ministry says.
