July 30, Fineko/abc.az. A rise in costs of foreign citizens who visited Azerbaijan through bank cards was observed in June of the year.

Thus, in June 2019 transactions on bank cards of foreign citizens who arrived in our country amounted to AZN 115.1 million (rise of 8% versus last June), says July’s issue of journal Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications.

The Center’s journal says that cost of operations via bank cards by foreign citizens who visited Azerbaijan for Jan-Jun of the year totaled AZN 590.8 million.

For comparison, 1.325 million foreigners from 189 countries visited Azerbaijan for the first 6 months of 2018. During this period, cost of operations carried out by foreign citizens through bank cards reached AZN 620.4 million.
