October 30, Fineko/abc.az. In September 2026, a decrease in the number of operating ATMs and POS-terminals was recorded in Azerbaijan.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan informs that the number of ATMs declined from 3,596 ones in August to 3,590 ones in September, having decreased by 6 ATMs in a month. At that, compared to September 2025 (3,496 ATMs), their number increased by 94.

The number of POS-terminals fell by 6,492 in a month, from 141,696 to 135,204. Compared to September 2025 (161,915 units), the decline was 26,711 terminals.

Of the total number of ATMs, 1,931 are located in Baku and 1,659 in the regions. Of the existing POS-terminals, 86,242 ones are located in the capital and 48,962 in the regions.
