September 23, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2026, losses in the main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan decreased by 5.5% compared with Jan-Jun 2025 to 24.1 million cu m.

According to the State Statistics Committee, for the same period in 2025, this figure was 25.5 million cu m.

Along with decline in losses, for Jan-Jun, a rise in gas transportation through main pipelines was recorded by 2.6% and the total volume reached 20,792.1 million cu m.

In the 1st half of the year, 55% of the transported gas - 11.442 bcm (a rise of 1.8%) - was supplied by South Caucasus pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, which transports gas from Shah Deniz field.
