EBRD invests heavily in technologies in the Caucasus

September 14, Fineko/abc.az. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is planning to invest up to €25 million in the capital of the Molten East Fund I SCSp with target volume of €200 million.

It is planned to finance technology companies at the initial stage and at the stage of active growth in Turkey, the Caucasus, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in Central Asia.

The investment is allocated withinthe EBRD's mechanism Early Stage Innovation Financing II (ESIF II) in the amount of €200 million.

Bank's participation will support the Fund in the successful completion of the first round of capital raising and will help attract professional venture capital expertise to the region.
