September 14, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey’s annual revenue from vessel transits through the Bosphorus Strait faces a potential fivefold decline to $200 million due to mounting shipping bottlenecks and Black Sea disruptions.

Mustafa Can, Chairman of Transbosphor Denizcilik, reported a sharp drop in vessel traffic, noting that 90% of anchorage spots in the Sea of Marmara are currently occupied by ships unable to enter the Black Sea. Warning of heightened ecological and supply chain risks, he urged the establishment of a new safe maritime corridor.
