CBA's foreign exchange reserves record: $15.3 bn

September 10, Fineko/abc.az. The excess of supply over demand in the foreign exchange market created the conditions for Central Bank’s major interventions in the form of currency purchases.

In August, the CBA acquired $1.5 bn on the market, as a result of which its foreign exchange reserves increased by 11.14% over the month and reached a historic high of $15.3 bn.

Despite the fact that imported inflation from trading partners remains the main risk, it is reported that domestic demand does not exert significant pressure on prices.
