September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Global payment giants Visa, Mastercard, and Ant International have launched a joint initiative to establish common industry standards for identifying and verifying artificial intelligence (AI) agents capable of making purchases on behalf of users.

Collaborating through the Monetary Authority of Singapore-backed BuildFin.ai platform, the coalition is developing a "Know-Your-Agent" (KYA) interoperability framework.

The effort aims to harmonize cross-network verification protocols, mitigate technical and operational risks associated with autonomous AI transactions, and accelerate the secure scaling of agentic commerce across global digital wallets and card networks.
