December 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on ensuring the application of compulsory health insurance (CHI).

According to the decree, the State CHI Agency is tasked to create a legal entity of public law - "Department on management of medical territorial units".

A number of state medical institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Health will be transferred to the Department.
