September 7, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, the State Budget returned a total of 224.195 million manats to individuals and legal entities, the Ministry of Finance informs.

The composition of the funds returned from the budget covers the following areas: VAT refund: part of the VAT paid by individuals for retail trade, catering, cultural services (theater, cinema, museum, concert) and medical services, as well as the amounts paid for hotel services in the territories liberated from occupation; Tax Free: VAT paid foreigners who purchase goods on the territory of the country that do not pursue production and commercial purposes.

Real estate sector: the corresponding part of VAT paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased in non-cash form from persons engaged in building construction activities.

Other payments: other overpaid taxes, government duties, interests, and financial penalties.
