September 1, Fineko/abc.az. According to the statistical bulletin published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), transactions using "American Express" cards issued by resident financial institutions exceeded 700,000 AZN across 5.1 thousand transactions by the end of July.

Compared to the same period last year, the transaction volume decreased by 22.2% (by over 200,000 AZN), while the number of transactions fell by 20.3% (by over 1.3 thousand).

Additionally, transactions conducted within Azerbaijan using "American Express" cards issued by non-resident financial institutions reached 1.5 thousand in count, with a total value of 1 million AZN during the reporting period.
