August 12, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 6 months of this year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) conducted 48 deposit auctions to regulate monetary conditions. The average volume of these auctions stood at 1 billion 423 million AZN.
According to the semi-annual "Monetary Policy Review," a total of 92 auctions were held for notes of various maturities (28, 84, 168, and 252 days) during the reporting period. By the end of the period, the CBA's note portfolio grew by 113 million AZN compared to the beginning of the year, reaching 484 million AZN.
Additionally, yields on short-term notes across all maturities declined during the latest auctions held in June:
28-day: from 6.75% to 6.54%
84-day: from 6.68% to 6.49%
168-day: from 6.80% to 6.48%
252-day: from 6.85% to 6.50%
