July 22, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union is running out of viable ideas for its upcoming 21st package of sanctions against Russia, according to Politico, citing EU diplomats.

Following 20 previous sanction rounds, no straightforward targets remain, and any further restrictions directly conflict with the economic interests of individual member states.

Diplomats note that negotiating new measures will require finding a delicate balance within the bloc.
