Cost of oil goes up: Brent exceeds $90 a barrel

July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Monday’s trading.

As of 09:25 on Baku time, the value of September’s futures contract for Brent oil at the ICE Futures exchange grew by $2.18 (2.47%) up to $90.28 per barrel. At the end of trading on July 17, September’s futures rose by $3.87 (4.59%) up to $88.10 per barrel.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), September’s WTI crude oil futures added $1.79 (2.19%) to $83.57 per barrel by 09:25. Following the trading on July 17, its price observed growth by $3.50 (4.47%) up to $81.78 per barrel.

The price of Azeri Light at the global market increased by $2.68 (3.02%) up to $91.50 per barrel.

Last week, Brent grew in price by 15.91%, WTI by 15.52%, and Azeri Light by 17.44%.
