Azerbaijan to expand cooperation with this bank

July 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan will expand cooperation with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) in the areas of infrastructure and energy.

ABC.AZ informs that Finance Minister Sahil Babayev made the above-said statement at the 28th Annual Meeting of the BSTDB Board of Governors.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan is interested in further expanding cooperation with the bank in various areas, including infrastructure, renewable energy, transport links, and the development of the financial sector: "Bank's focus on energy security in 2025 aligns with Azerbaijan's strategic priorities. As noted in the annual report, energy security is becoming an increasingly important issue for the Black Sea region. Azerbaijan, as a reliable energy supplier and strategic transit hub, considers strengthening energy security in the region to be a priority. At the same time, the government is making large investments in renewable energy in line with the green transition agenda and climate commitments.”
