September 1, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of deposits held by individual entrepreneurs in Azerbaijani banks increased to 430.1 million manats as of August 1, 2026.

According to ABC.AZ, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the increase amounted to 29% since the beginning of the year and 26% over the past year. Of these deposits, 76.8 million manats were held in foreign currency, accounting for just 18% of the total portfolio. At the beginning of the year, the share of foreign-currency deposits in the portfolio stood at 7%.

At the same time, the highest figure was recorded on January 1, 2026, when deposits of individual entrepreneurs in banks amounted to 448.9 million manats.

Meanwhile, the volume of loans issued by banks to individual entrepreneurs increased by 7.5% in the first seven months of the year, reaching 4 billion 629.3 million manats.
