June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Restoration of 480,000 hectares of pastures and pasture lands is stipulated in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Rashad Huseynov, Director of the Center for Agrarian Research at the Ministry of Agriculture, made the above-said statement at a public hearing in the Milli Majlis Committee on Agrarian Policy on the tasks arising from the "State Program for the development of production and processing of agricultural, fish and aquaculture products for 2026-2030».

According to Huseynov, the vast majority of subsidy mechanisms to be applied in livestock production in Azerbaijan are new:

"Subsidies are envisaged for cattle slaughtered in slaughterhouses. In addition, provision of subsidies for milk sent for processing is planned. In general, incentive mechanisms are provided to attract investments in the processing industry."

Huseynov noted that Azerbaijan is also planning to introduce mechanisms for subsidizing the production of wool and leather: "These subsidies are new for Azerbaijan. At the same time, measures are envisaged to improve the forage base, including the restoration of 480,000 hectares of pastures and pasture lands. The issue of allocating subsidies for pastures is also being considered."
