June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan will keep on expanding its gas export geography in 2026.

ABC.AZ informs that the Executive Committee of the International Gas Union, Deputy Vice President of SOCAR Vitaly Beglyarbekov at the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

"If we talk about gas, we are currently supplying it to 16 countries. This number will grow. It (the number of countries - ed.) will grow this year. You know about the contract that we signed yesterday here in Baku. But there will be new contracts and further expansion of our geography," Beglyarbekov said.

In 2025, Azerbaijan exported around 25 bcm of gas, of which more than half went to Europe.
