June 1, Fineko/abc.az. Wealthy families around the world are reducing investments in dollar assets amid geopolitical risks and rising U.S. government debt, ABC.AZ inforkms that UBS reports about this with reference to a Reuters study.
About two thirds of family offices expect a decrease in confidence in the dollar as a reserve currency. Almost half consider their portfolios to be overly dependent on it.
Investors plan to increase investments in emerging markets and infrastructure, reducing the share of real estate. The main risk is geopolitical instability, which is why diversification across different jurisdictions is being used more actively. The survey involved 307 clients with an average net worth of $2.7 billion.
