May 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 4 months, Azerbaijan produced 142,600 tons of carbamide (27.4% less versus the 2025 same term), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

As of May 1, 2026, volume of finished products totaled 59,600 tons.

Notably, carbamide (nitrogen fertilizer) is produced at the SOCAR Karbamid plant in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park, which was commissioned in 2019. The company is capable of producing 650,000-660,000 tons of output a year, using roughly 435 million cu m of natural gas, and 70% of the output is intended for export.
