May 8, Fineko/abc.az. Preparations for the Azerbaijani-Belarusian project on production of mixed fertilizers are at the final stage.

ABC.AZ informs that Tural Hajili, deputy executive director of the Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), made the above-said statement during his speech at seminar "Open Business Dialogue" held by the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange in Baku.

Hajili noted that in the 1st quarter of 2026, bilateral trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus increased by 11%.

"Currently, active preparatory work is underway to organize the joint production of mixed fertilizers. This project to be implemented soon in Sumgait, will have significant impact on mutual trade turnover, and will also include export of products to third countries. In addition, detailed consideration of other joint initiatives is ongoing," Hajili noted.
