National Bank of Georgia increases its foreign exchange reserves by $154.2 million in a month

May 8, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia's strategic foreign exchange reserves have reached a record high of $6.47 billion.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting PM Irakli Kobakhidze, that amid positive economic trends, the National Bank of Georgia increased its foreign exchange reserves by $154.2 million last month alone.

In addition, according to the PM, the exchange rate of the country's national currency remained stable. Kobakhidze thanked the government's economic team, including the leadership of the National Bank, for the results achieved.

Kobakhidze underlined that the government will continue to work to maintain high rates of economic growth, fiscal stability and steady growth of foreign exchange reserves.
