May 6, Fineko/abc.az. Growth of sales of all-electric cars recorded in Spain this April.

The total market of alternative energy sources (BEV, PHEV, HEV and gas) increased the number of registrations by 26.7% compared to April of 2025 up to 77,271 cars. Seven out of every 10 cars sold this month are equipped with low-emission engines.

Plug-in hybrid vehicles remain the best-selling option: in April, they made up 47% of the total market, and more than 193,000 such vehicles have been sold since the beginning of the year. Their advantage is the eco-labeling from the Department of Transport, which allows driving in low-emission areas, reduced fuel consumption and a lower price compared to other eco-friendly options.
